| Sony sugar battery. |
The way of the future for Renewable Resources! Imagine walking around and listening to your Audio device only for the batteries to run out. But wait! You have a bottle of sweet soft drink in your bag. You fill up your Sony Sugar battery with some of the sweet liquid and presto. Instant power.

| Omnia i900 workaround for Auto Rotate |
One again I am just relaying information I found on the net by a user called Milky. It is a workaround for an issue where the auto rotate will stop working. This seems to solve it for me.
While the phone is on mains power it does the auto rotation. Taking it off mains and it will still auto rotate. However if you lock the phone then unlock auto rotate does not work. You can still manually rotate the screen but even de-selecting and reselecting automatic rotation will not turn it back on. Plugging back into the mains and auto rotation starts straight away.
However I've just found a fix on another forum. Goto settings, system, power, battery power, ensure both boxes about the backlight are ticked, press okay and voila...No idea why this works though??? |

| Omnia i900 GPS fix for TomTom 7 |
I can't take any credit for this. I found this solution on the mobileroar.com forum which was posted by a user called Nic. I am just relaying what worked for me. Thanks Nic if you ever read this!!!
1st - Settings: I use in external GPS settings - program port "COM7" and hardware port "COM9" at 4800. (note: Make sure your TomTom configure also follows COM7 port!) 2nd - Reboot Then I shut off the device completely (complete off), and reboot. Once I reboot. 3Rd - Delete the 'GPSID_log' files I go to File Explorer --> My Device and I delete the TWO 'GPSID_log' fileS. [note: the reboot step is absolutely necessary, because if you don't reboot, then it won't allow you to delete one of the 'GPSID_log' file!!!] 4th - Start TomTom OUTSIDE (under the clear sky) and within 20 - 30 secs the program catches the satellites (they show up on the configure screen). But not only that - after 1-2 minutes the software actually CONNECTS to the satellites (the satellites turn BLUE) and in the front screen it says - no route planned! Note: You Must Wait Until The Front Screen Says "No Rote Planned" and the map is in color (opposed to black and white) before you start setting your destination, otherwise it will keep on hanging and just showing you the satellites in grey without ever turning into blue. |
